Murchison Falls National Park
The Most Powerful Waterfall
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest and oldest conservation area, and it is built around the falls themselves, where the Nile is forced through a seven-metre gorge and drops 43 metres below. The park holds 76 mammal species and 451 bird species. Visitors take boat safaris up to the base of the falls and game drives across the savannah plains north of the river.
