Jinja - Source of the Nile
Jinja sits on the shores of Lake Victoria at the point where the Nile River begins its 6,695km journey to the Mediterranean. It is East Africa’s adventure capital, best known for white water rafting on Grade 5 rapids, bungee jumping over the Nile, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Beyond the adrenaline, Jinja offers a relaxed colonial-era town atmosphere, sunset cruises, the Source of the Nile monument, and easy access to Mabira Forest for zip-lining and canopy walks.
